Pink Gajah Theatre was founded in 2013. PInk Gajah translates to Pink Elephant, (Gajah for elephant in Malay) which  reflects our desire to talk about issues which creep up in society as the ‘Elephant in the room.’

For us, Art is crucial in a society and all the more we fight to bring the joys and discoveries that can be found through theatre to our community.

We believe in socially aware art and theatre and use theatre and film as a way to create works that are socially conscious.

Physical training and movement work is a method and way of working that we believe in. We blend Asian theatre practices such as Kalaripayattu (from Southern India) , elements of Suzuki training from Japan with Western practices such as Contact Improvisation and Anne Bogart's View Points.
